Well I lost a whopping 1 lb in a month! :-( But I also got some good news - I don't have a 6 month supervised diet requirement as I was originally told by BCBS!!! It looks like my preferred date of August or September is looking good!

I have BCBS in NY, where are you that you don't have the 6 month thing? My biggest hope is some of my past documentation will satisfy that requirement .

I could get nothing from Blue Cross other than a verbal that I needed 6 month supervised diet. they told me yesterday that the surgeon's office would have to see what my requirement was. When I went today the nutritionist said put the insurance coordinator at the practice I didn't have to wait 6 months.

I'm in RI

@@KristenLe Sounds like great news that you may get through the process sooner than you thought! About the 1 pound loss, I wouldn't look at that as anything less than success, especially in the early stages. If nothing else, it shows that your efforts are paying off, no matter how little it seems at the moment.

Stay positive and best of luck!

@@KristenLe I think that's absolutely the right answer. Now is when you start developing your good habits to make an easier transition post-op. Keep up the good work! It's all worth it!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
