BPD with Duodenal Swith

Is the BPD (Biliary Pancreatic Diversion) with Duodenal Switch the same surgury as the Duodenal Switch. I was assumming it is when I joined this forum but in the hopes of not being mistaken I thought it wise to ask.

  • Yes, it is. There was a surgery called the BPD. It's not performed any longer as a standalone. It's now done as BPD/DS.
