Everyone loses tons of Water weight in the first couple of weeks of dieting, then it slows down. 4 lbs a week after that is a very high rate of weight loss and it will likely slow down sooner or later. And get ready for your first stall, because that's likely coming within the next couple of weeks. Don't let it freak you out! If the scale is going to stress you out, you may want to put it away for a while and just focus on the things you can control, like meeting your Protein and fluid goals.< /p>

Water, Protein and Vitamins. That's the only "tracking" you need to do right now. The numbers on the scale mean absolutely nothing at this point.

Remember, weight loss is not a race, it's for the rest of your life and you can worry about the scale in a few months. I managed to lose over 100% of my excess weight and I don't even own a scale!

Good luck. Sip sip sip.

I really didn't lose anything until about 3 weeks post op. I think my body was fighting it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
