Just wondering. For those of you who ordered Dr. Ortiz's book, have you received it? Seems like it oughta be here by now, but I've not received mine???

No, I have not. I did get a call from them though that said they had run out and they were going to be sending more out on either the 20th or 29th.

so you should have it next week. I cannot wait to get mine.

I spoke wit Sandy at Orti'z office, there was a delay and she said they should be sent out this week. Also for those of you who ordered, please make sure you were not overchargerd. It has been posted on other boards that some have been charged 129.50 on their credit card statements instead of 12.95. If this is the case for some of you please call the publishing company MWP Publishing at 949-715-7924. It seems to have been an error on the part of the publishing company and they are aware of it as well as Ortiz's office and are working to correct the problem.

I got a call too, saying it would be shipped last monday. I should be getting it soon if they did. I'll let you know.

Let me know what you all think of it when you get it. I will probably want one too if its any good. I took that Jessie Ahroni book and gave it to my primary doctor yesterday. Hey, did anyone get their book yet? I haven't gotten mine and it was supposed to be shipped a few weeks ago. I sent them 2 e-mails asking about it and haven't gotten a response yet!

I've heard a lot about this book, but what is it? A book that Dr. Ortiz wrote about the LapBand? Does anyone know more about it?

I called Orti'z office this week and they have all gotten their copies and she said that the others are being shipped..If I do not get mine by next week..I'm going to dispute the charge on my credit card..this is ridiculous. As much as I love Dr. Ortiz I feel he should not made it public that the book was here and then have the publishing company take a month to ship them...

Yep. I got an email saying mine had been shipped over a week ago too. Nothing yet..

I haven't checked to see if it got charged to my credit card. They aren't supposed to charge it till they ship it!

Mine was charged the day that I ordered it as well. I do not have mine either. They had called in November and said that they would be shipping them out.

Still no book. If I do not get it next week I might ask for an e-mail address or something as they already charged my account.

I sent them an email and told them either send my book or credit my account.

They sent me an email on 11/29 with this url blocked::http://www.mwpmedia, which i could not use to an 'electronic copy - until they could get the books out. well, as you see, it is 'blocked' so this never worked for me.

Just for what it's worth, publishers using US mail send things out "book rate" which is another way of saying "the slowest possible treatment for this, please." I don't know where this book might be coming from, but I know from years in the business that waiting for a book to come from other than a retail establishment is an exercise in frustration. They come, eventually, but printed matter is dead last on the P.O.'s priority list. Even after junk mail!

Don't blame Ortiz' office if they're not doing the shipping themselves, is all I'm saying. I'm sure they can do nothing about it.
