I'm 5 days post op still on Clear liquids , I ended up having a second surgery 2 days after my original on the 12th. Does anyone ,when sipping fluids, get a gurgle as the Fluid is passing down and then a small burp? I'm just hoping this is normal , and that there is not another obstruction. Still sore and tired, just hoping this is swelling in my stomach too and nothing bad. I don't think I could handle another surgery.

Sounds normal. If you get to a point where you are unable to drink fluids or consume any food, it is probably a sign of a stricture. But I don't think you are there.

a gurgle and a burp sounds completely normal. I usually get one or both when I am full. It's entirely possible, even probably, that your stomach is still swollen so there's even less room than there will be when the swelling goes down. Just go nice and slowly, and keep sipping. Get better soon!

I'm on day 4 and it's like that for me every swallow. Except, I have pain when it hits my stomach which is relieved by the gurgle. So, I consider the gurgle my friend
