Pre surgery weight gain

I'm struggling to not eat all the things in these weeks pre-surgery. I don't have my date yet, but probably some time in May. My surgeon didn't require any weight loss pre-surgery and I almost wish he had. Anyone experience this? It's like I'm saying goodbye to large quantities! Help!

I started, lost 7 lbs in 5 months and got it all back in my 6th month.

The only thing I did notice was on my 5th and 6th month I was always hungry. Maybe my body was storing fat or something. Now, I'm just waiting for my surgery....

I was doing great until I got an approval and had a surgery date then I started eating whatever I wanted unfortunately. pizza, chocolate, you name it! I gained 5 pounds back very quickly that I had lost on my own. Luckily I do have a 14 day pre-op liquid diet so that is taking it back off and then some. It is really an emotional thing for me, it is so hard to give up food. Something I still have to work on if I want to succeed long term. So far I am 5 days into the liquid diet and not one cheat and it's been hard but getting easier.

My husband is being sleeved May 2. I have had a band for 10 years and am going through the process as well hoping to get approval for a revision. My surgeon unfilled me 2 months ago and I've been eating anything and everything ever since. I haven't been able to eat without throwing up for all these years and some foods I just couldn't even attempt. So I am like a kid in a candy store. I know I am going to regret it. If I am denied, I guess I'll have to have the band refilled and start puking again. :(
