Less than one week till Surgery...

I don't know if I'm ready. Staying on the liquids has been so hard, and there has been a couple day I've cheated and had a single bit of food or a chip or two. The temptation has been the hardest part. I keep thinking to myself if this next week I stay totally clear of solids everything will be okay and I'll be able to do the surgery still... Should I call the doctors office on Monday and come clean with only 4 days till the operation?

I would say no not to call but from this day forward to make sure you stick to it very strictly......some doctors don't require a liquid diet so a couple of cheats during the first week probably didn't hurt you......but the week leading up to the surgery you need to keep your eye on the prize and have no cheating all week. Good luck!

I don't think a few bites are going to be an issue. This next week be sure to stick with your pre-op diet and all should be fine! Good luck! I am reading this book recommended to me by someone on this site and by my Psychiatrist and I'm using my pre-op time (6 long months) to learn how to stop emotional eating.
