I have acrylic overlay on my own nails. The receptionist at my surgeon's office told me it was okay just no polish. However, I'm going to triple check at my pre-op appointment. Better safe than sorry.

My surgeon didn't even mention it at all. I would call and check or ask at your next visit.

Your nail beds need to be visible so staff can see if you're having problems such as cianosis.

I was told no nail polish or toe nail polish. No mention of acrylic nails though. Definitely check and double-check with your surgeon.

No mention yet from my surgeon but I've been through so many surgeries I just don't wear any.
