The Plunge!

So here I am, day 5 of 7 of the pre-op liquid diet. *sigh*

I've lost 12 lbs though!

Uhh.... a little bit about myself. Well... uh, I'm a college student. I have two bunnies and a boyfriend and a roommate and we're a happy little family. My mom and i are going to Monterrey, Mexico tomorrow morning to have Dr. Rumbaut put in a lap-band for me.

I'm a little scared I admit. Anyone on here that has gotten banded by Rumbaut? I know he bands like a million people a year.

Hi Zuchinno and welcome. Not long till you're banded!

There are many people here on LBT who have been banded by Dr Rumbaut and as far as I've heard he's supposed to be one of the best. Just look around on different threads and you'll find them.

Good luck with your surgery and let us know how you're doing.

Thanks! That's a great comfort... I've done some research and found that the most common complication that requires bands being removed is slippage, and that when the surgeon is experienced and talented, it dramatically reduces the chances of slipping.
