My surgery is one week from today

I will be having my RNY on Monday, March 21st. I'm ready. This is going to be a long week, I can tell. I'm already having trouble sleeping as I just keep thinking about the surgery and the post-surgery recovery process. I'm also not sure I'm going to have the most productive week at work!

Thank god for March Madness this weekend. Otherwise I could lose my mind prior to Monday.

Yes, I would get the Vitamins in advance. I would, however, call your doctor and see which ones they recommend. You will probably need to start taking them the morning after you return home from the hospital. Not when you want to be out shopping for vitamins.

The gas-x strips are for the gas pains after surgery. Many people swear by them, but I didn't find them really effective. I found getting up and walking the best medicine for the gas pains. I did get them and take them - no harm in trying. They may help you.
