Roalmc77 got a reaction from sandijo64 in Guys who started over 400 lbs.I just had bypass 23 Mar 16. HW was 440 sw 399. Almost at 3 weeks post op down to 374. That is diet only as my left most incision was sewn into a nerve with disintegrating sutures that take 6ish weeks to disintegrate. The pain from my stomach apron tugging on that nerve makes walking, bending over, or standing for more then a minute or 2 unbearable. Surgeon says it happens sometimes, I was unlucky there is guess. Everything else going smooth however. Can't wait to start walking.

Roalmc77 got a reaction from shelbys mom in Guys who started over 400 lbs.Tried to go back to work today... currently there but doubt I'm staying. The left most incision site is being pulled way to much. Regular Xtra strength Tylenol liquid is doing nothing. I swear it feels like I was sewn up to tight on that side(best way I can explain it) tender to the touch from incision straight down towards waist. Shooting pain from that site towards waist as well. Only slight improvement by me holding my belly fat apron on that side. Can't sit straight up or lean forward at all. Slightly leaned back is OK, the least painful.

Roalmc77 got a reaction from Ignatius in Guys who started over 400 lbs.Congrats all, update on me Jan 4th i weighed 440. Surgery March 23rd weighed 399.8 today weigh 341.8 I get my first lab tests for Vitamins and such Wednesday and hoping to be under 340 by then. Had horrible side stitch pain for about a month other then that nothing to bad. My only comorbity was sleep apnea and wife says I snore a lot less. I ran a 5k (well ran and walked on Jun 4th.) Coming along, a recent NSV: I went to get gas and the person behind the counter recognized me from before when I used to get 2 hotdogs before work and she was impressed at how much weight I had lost.

Roalmc77 reacted to Gibby679 in Guys who started over 400 lbs.Just thought i would put in a quick update her haven't really been back since i posted the first time. Back in Jan. I started this process at 525 on surgery day on March 22 i was 461. Now 3 months out i am now down to 382 with a goal of reaching 375 by my birthday which is this coming weekend. This is awesome i can believe how much better i feel now and only get better everyday. I am at the gym 5 days a week working out and at the pool 6-7 days a week swimming laps. Hate to admit it but the gym and working out are becoming addicting never thought i would say that in my life...lol
