Puréed shmureed

Okay bypassers, I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op. I've had no issues with food thus far. The past couple of nights I had half can of Spaghetti O's just to switch things up. No problems or discomfort. I've been living off of mashed potatoes and puréed chicken salad. It's been great, but I'm ready for something other than the taste of chicken in my mouth. Getting to the point: my boyfriend is making himself some pancakes this morning and I'm dying to try one plain. Words of wisdom and/or warning, please!!

One of the things I heard tastes great pureed is chili. That'll also give you a change up from the chicken. Make up a batch and you can freeze it in little containers. You can puree each serving, and then when you are on to whole foods you can eat it then too.

Really, stay away from the carbs. There are alternatives to Pasta if you are just craving carbs, like mashed cauliflower and those shirataki noodles that you can put some red sauce on if you need a spaghettio fix.

I can give you a great mashed cauliflower recipe if you'd like it. My kids LOVE it and actually prefer it over mashed potatoes LOL
