Every plan is individualized depending on the specific guidelines set by your doctor and your insurance company. Unfortunately, experiences will vary and there is not one uniform method.

You have to follow diet for 3 months to show commitment to weight loss. If I hadn't had a band for 4 years, it might make sense

I had to diet for 1yr. before surgery. I was extremely obese. I lost 100lbs. in that year. I don't understand, like you if you have the band why do a diet. Maybe to show total commitment?

It's an insurance requirement. Keep hope alive. You'll be fine.

Great news. I do not have to wait 3 months. Final appointment 3/22 hopefully revision in April
