Surgery tomorrow!

I'm having my surgery tomorrow and I'm starting to get nervous. Since I've been overweight my whole life this feels very surreal to me. Anyone had a lot of success after surgery that has always been overweight for most of their lives?

At ten years old, I got my first period. It was right around this time that I began to gain weight... and just keep on gaining. I don't remember a time when I didn't feel heavy and out of place. I'm still significantly overweight, but now I have a neck, and collar bones! Last night we were at the laundromat and I was walking back out the door to get the dryer sheets from the car and I jumped a little because I thought I was about to run into someone... I didn't recognize my own reflection. I completely understand how surreal you feel about it because I feel the same way.

You'll do great! Keep us posted, and take it easy. ^_^

I've been overweight most of my life. From the "husky" stages of childhood to overweight teen then eventually obese adult. I've lost and gained back hundreds of lbs over time. Tried almost every diet from Atkins to Weight Watchers.

While I'm still young in this journey, I'm finding my lifestyles changes improve drastically. Best of luck with the surgery and good luck with your continued success.
