I am spending the fall semester abroad for school, either in South America or Africa. I am hoping to get sleeved in April, and I don't leave until September 1. Do you think this is enough time to get used to the diet and my new routine before leaving for 4 months?? Help!

I think you should be fine by 5 months out. You should work hard to meet your protein goals with real food instead of supplements ASAP, because I am not sure how much access you'll have to supplements like protein bars and shakes in those places. You will also need to be sure to bring all your vitamins with you.

I agree. I think you will be fine. Just make sure you let your surgeon know since it sounds like you will be out of the country when it's time for your six month follow-up.
