Aflac

Has anyone used their Aflac short term disability policy benefits for the time they were out of work for the surgery?

I don't have Aflac but I have combined insurance. They've already paid me for the time I was in the hospital and I am filing a short term disability claim for my hernia (that was repaired during my wls). Call your customer service to check to see if your policy considers WLS as treatment for an illness.

I ask here because I asked our rep last December and she couldn't give me a straight answer. She supposedly called another rep in the department who processes the claims and the rep wouldn't give her a straight answer either.

I am crossing my fingers!

I didn't call my Rep, I called the company themselves. They have access to more information about your policy.
