4 wks postop, now nausea and vomiting

Sleeve surgery on New Years Eve. I have done so well and felt great. Tuesday spent day in ER with a kidney stone. I passed the stone!!! However, Wednesday I began vomiting and have been nauseated since. I am going on 3 days of IV fluids. I have very poor appetite and nausea gets worse when I try to drink any kind of fluid. Has anyone else has this happen? If so, how long did it last?

I did have nausea that got worse in week 3. Have you talked to your surgeon? It seems it could be a little too early for a stricture but I suppose it is possible. Has your dr prescribed Zofran (anti-nausea med)? And/or dehydration can cause that. IV fluids should keep that at bay but maybe that is how it started? I hate to tell you this but I struggled with nausea for the first 6 months. I took a LOT Of Zofran, but it got me through and I am much better now. Hang in there but don't be afraid to call surgeon!
