Stomach growling?

I'm 15days post-sleeve & my stomach growls & feels empty, EVEN during & after drinking my protein shake. I hear so many people say they have to remind themselves to eat, but I feel hungry! Am I the only hungry one??

Are you on a PPI? it's very common for excess acid to mimic hunger in the early weeks post-op.

  • It is acid. When that calms down and you can eat solid protein, you will feel full, I promise! Take an acid blocker twice/day, religiously.

YES! I am in the same boat. I am 3 days post-op and I think I just learned today that if I do not drink any water/fluid for as long as I can after my shake, it seems to keep me fuller longer.

I also hate the growling because it makes my newly stitched stomach hurt everytime it goes to flopping around.

You've been well advised by the above posts.

It will go away in a few weeks.

When I hear my new stomach make noises now....I know it's talking to me....telling me to get my big arse in gear and go walk some laps and sip some Water.

Definitely can be acid reflux. Try Zantac if you don't have a PPI prescribed.
