C25K

Is anyone else doing a C25K? I am on week 2 day 3. So proud I made it this far. Never thought I would be trying to run a 5k at my size. I hope I can manage week 3. Would love to hear from others on this journey.

I have done C25k several times throughout my life. It is crazy how it actually WORKS. You go from only being able to run a minute at a time to being able to run 30+ minutes straight! Some tips from so

  • Okay, so I did my race yesterday and after only the first week of C25K I dropped another 3.5 minutes off my time compared to last race! This is my 7th 5K since August. I started just walking, then a

I don't think I'm ready for running, but I did walk over 35 miles last week …averaging 7 miles per day.

Finished week 5 part one. I will do part two next week and hopefully my first 20 min run. I signed up to do a 5k on April 24 with my son. It will be one week before my 1 year surgiversary! A great way to mark that very special anniversary. I now have extra motivation to get through my C25K program.

Signing up for yor first race is always exciting and nerve wracking. It's for real now! My first half marathon is the same day as your 5k and I'm in full on panic mode now. Just have to keep reminding myself that I can just walk it if I need to. Congrats on your progress so far and it sounds like you'll be in great shape by the time your race rolls around!

Yay congrats!

It went well. I didn't run fast but I finished. There were a lot of big hills which I was not prepared for. Making it up the hills surprised me.
