After being diagnosed with diabetes last February 2015, my decision was made to have gastric bypass surgery, something that scared me terribly as I transcribe daily and hear of different problems that others have had after the surgery. Weighing diabetes verses possible problems, i.e. anemia for one, I chose the possible problems. I started the process of getting ready in April 2015, lost 36 pounds before my surgery of November 5, 2015. Since my surgery 10 weeks ago tomorrow, I have lost 48 pounds for a total of wait for it.......84 POUNDS!!!! I am tickled pink, purple ,and all other beautiful colors. I have been lucky in that I have not had many problems at all. The worst is when I can eat a certain food one time and maybe 2 days later, it makes me sick. It is just hit and miss, but I keep trying it all. Yes, I would do it again. My goal is to be able to get my wedding dress on again after 43 years ago this May. I wish everyone the best on their journey.
