So I posted a couple months ago about my disappointment 9 months post op and now in 2 days I am offically 1 year post op and my total weight loss has been 40lbs. That was acheived in 3-4 months post op and since then its been a bad battle. Anyway as I look back one entire year and my failure it is soo discouraging!

Especially coming from my 100lb weight loss with my band when I had it 5 years ago. I went to see a nutrionist (not same that i have with my surgeon) and she insisted I up my intake, because I am a year post op and im so tall 5'10 that 1200 cals arent enough for me?

Any success stories out there with bleek start like mine but greater afters?

What's a typical eating day like for you? Do you exercise? I know it sounds counter -productive, but upping your calories may actually jumpstart your weight loss. If you give your body too few calories it can be just as bad as too many.

I agree with @BLERDGirl.

Are you tracking your food?

What is your Protein target? Are you getting in all of your Protein and fluids every day?

Are you taking all of your Vitamins and supplements as directed?

If you aren't eating enough, especially enough protein, and/or not staying hydrated, you may have a difficult time losing weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
