Ladies Question...

So last Tuesday (1 week post op) I started my period. I had lost 12lbs in the first week and absolutely nothing since then. Anyone else experience this, or anything similar? It's rather depressing.

I had the same thing happen. I got my period shortly after surgery. I hadn't had it for years due to my Mirena. I will be 8 months post op on 1/1/16 and my periods are starting to slow down again and be 'regular'. I had quite a bit of irregular and breakthru bleeding there for a bit. Very frustrating!! Good luck!

I have PCOS and had my first actual period since surgery late November, and it made me stall for almost 3 weeks. It's a hormone/water retention thing. :/ Really sucks, but it picked up again. Hang in there.

I do this every month! I lose weight normally, then bam! nothing. I'll even gain a pound or two. A couple of days after I start my period, the Water pounds and their little friends go away and I'm back on track. My doctor told me not to, but I watch my weight like crazy and it freaks me out a teensy bit every time.

GOOD news is, yesterday I finally dropped down 6lbs, then 2 more today. So finally it's coming back off!

I was steadily losing my first week + post op until my period started (day 12post op) now I haven't lost for over a week and my pms is insane! Can't wait for it to be over :) but it's giving my body some time to adjust to a 20 pound loss so I'm not that upset.
