hi - i'm 33, married with two sons, and am really interested in getting the Lap Band - just talked to two surgeons so far - both in the UK - where i will have to travel to as no one does the op in Ireland! I would love to hear from anyone Irish or English who has had the surgery for some local advice! But advice from anyone is welcome!

Hi! I'm a 33 yr old mom of four from Texas- I am really excited about getting the band! I don't have any advice for you, but I just wanted to say hi. It will probably be a while before I can get banded but my journey is underway! Hope you get some input that will be helpful. In the meantime- best wishes from Texas!!

hey thanks - like you, I am just starting on this journey - I am talking to two surgeons at the moment, and trying to raise the money for the surgery - it will be about $12,000 not including flights to England!

At the moment, being banded seems like a dream, an answer to a really enduring problem.
