soon to be banded

Hi - I am being banded on Wednesday, August 1. I am a bit nervous and would like to hear from recent banders about how long the surgery took, were you starving after, and how long were you in the hospital. Also, if any rhode islanders are out there, who was your surgeon? I would appreciate any info from everyone about your experiences with this. thanks.
