I have been gagging a little almost every day luckily it is only once or twice every couple days. I have also been coughing which scares me also, so I understand where you are coming from. I think I have also been swallowing air because I have constant gas..burp feeling and even my lower stomach feels bloated..Hope we feel better soon!

I too was banded 7/17 - My 1st couple of days were painful - the 2nd day the gas pains in my right shoulder had me crying. Once I came home from the hopsital on Thursday I have been able to eat small quainties 1/2 to 3/4 of a cop of Soup - I can drink but i don't gulp and just take regular swallows.

The coughing is most likely your bodys way of clearing your lungs after surgery..

I still have a little gas at night but it's pretty much gone.

There is a Lucky #7 Seven Thread - where all the people who were banded in July talk - go ck it out - you will find alot of info.
