1 WEEK POST SURGERY CHECKUP

Holy Smokes had my first check up since surgery last Wednesday and I lost 8 pounds. WOOOOOO HOOOO

Things going well. Have not taken a pain med since Saturday and that was for the headache from hell. Getting drinks down easier now (thanks everyone for your comments and advice)

Walking and my legs HATE ME because they have not seen that much exercise in a looooooong time. I was doing the recumbent bike because of my bad knees for 30 minutes before surgery but feels good with 70 degree Fall weather to be able to get my butt out the door and walk around my street.

Have not really had a BM - doctor told me to try Colace. Anyone else have that problem??

I have been keeping a journal through this whole thing with inspirational pictures/quotes filled into it I have taken off of Pinterest and the internet.

Finally feel like I can conquer my weight issues after so many years of trying things that did not work. :D :D :D

Hello, there! I'm still PRE-op (surgery date 11/19/15) --but my surgeon suggested using Miralax.

As a nurse, I've given Miralax to others for YEARS..and "know that it works"...so that is what I have on hand.

Hope it resolves quickly..you can buy generic Miralax, btw...a lot cheaper than name-brand ;)

Hello! I had my surgery on 10/26 and had my one week follow up on 11/3..they told me I was down 15 pounds. I do walk everyday around my block..not fast or anything. ..just a light walk. The colace does work...but it may take a while to work...it took me a couple days after getting out the hospital to have a BM. I haven't had any medical issues ( thank goodness ) but I have been more emotional than usual. .but I know that will get better with time. Good luck!

I am one week out today. I started using Miralax as soon as I came home from the hospital, and have not had any problems in that department. I will continue to use a little daily.
