Post Surgery Craving Ice/Ice Cold Water

I use to drink room temperature water only prior to surgery but now I find myself craving ice and ice cold water. Hoping I'm not anemic but wouldn't be surprised, my vitamin levels are still lacking.

Anyone have this craving or a change in certain similar things?

@@cal2okl - I used to crave ice, and was anemic pre-WLS. Now, not craving it, and iron levels were good on first labs post-op. I have been pretty good about taking my vitamins so that may be why ;D

I am 4 weeks post op and also crave icy/ frozen drinks. I have since day 1 and never did in the past. I put bottles of sugar free Gatorade in the freezer and break up the ice by squeezing the bottle. It helps me not to drink so fast also.
