Starving

Help! I'm about 1 week out from my RNY and omega loop revision surgeries. I'm on a puréed phase, but I find that I'm still hungry even after I eat the maximum 3 tablespoons. Is this normal? I'm so worried it didn't work.

Your stomach is still healing from a huge trauma, so the nerves haven't really started working again. So even though it feels like you can eat more or you want to eat more, try to stick to the plan. I still sort of felt hunger in the beginning but oddly enough now I rarely do and it's super manageable when I do. Good luck, take care of yourself. :)

It is probably actually acid reflux. If you don't have a daily med for that prescribed, ask your surgeon for one or ask if you can take one over the counter like Zantac or Pepcid
