The ball is rolling!! :)

I went to a seminar with Dr. Averbach last night. I'm going with his practice at St. Agnes, so either he or Dr. Singh will be doing my surgery. I just called the insurance company (BCBS State of MD) and I just have to do the documented diet and a psych eval for approval.

So, now I need to see if I can come up with my Weight Watchers booklets or receipts or if I have to do the six month diet.

Hi Brandy,

Good luck with your journey..I have a friend who had her bypass done by Dr. Signh and has been completely happy with him.

I live in Baltimore as well but I'm having my surgery done tomorrow at GBMC. I most went with GBMC because that is where all of my other doctors are.

Keep us posted to when you get a surgery date!

Oh it is so exciting.

I was so happy after the seminar. It made such good sense and a cure for my addiction.

I was so happy to tell my hubby about it.

He read all about it and agreed with me.

I went to the seminar in May 06 and was banded July 06.

I will always side with the obese team but it is sure fun to "look" like I'm on the other team.

My health was my concern and this "looking" is such a bonus!!!!!

Hi Brandi!

I think you'll be pleased w/ Averbach and Singh. I was banded by Dr. Averbach 15 months ago. I hope things go well with your paperwork and appointments, so that you can join us in "bandland" very soon.

:whoo:
