A cold just days before surgery!

I am scheduled for surgery this Friday, Sept 25 down in Mexico. I unfortunately caught a cold a few days ago, and I'm trying really hard to get it out of my system. It's gotten a little better, but it's not gone. I'm not sure what to do! Should I still go? Or should I try to reschedule? I've emailed the doctor about it, but I haven't heard back yet...

Be sure you take some antibiotics and the usual cold medicines, and you should be fine. You still have 72 hours. I'd be more concerned with what you pick up down in Mexico, TBH. Drink plenty of Water to hydrate your system, both to fight the cold and because you will have a difficult time getting sufficient water in the period immediately after the surgery. Good luck!

Thank you! I heard back and they said about the same thing! I feel a lot less panicked now! :)
