I'm going from sleeve to bypass

I'm getting the bypass on Monday. How long was the pre op diet. Im suppose to do a 10 day one and I had a small meal yesterday and now I'm nervous that I won't be able to get it done

Mine was a two week liquid diet. The first few days sucked big time and I doubted my ability to keep going but around day 4 or 5 it just got easier. I guess our bodies adjust, our stomachs shrink, and mentally we can count down so we can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'd prob check w you surgeon about any special instructions if you went off the diet this close to surgery.

I went from band to bypass and had a two week diet of protein shakes, plus we could eat a lean cuisine or weight watchers. It made it doable although I did still cheat just prior to my surgery. I'm 5 weeks post op!

I'm hoping everything will be fine. I have dropped a few pounds so I'm thinking I should be good

I had no pre op diet. My surgeon even had me eat a steak the night before surgery.
