I had my consultation and the weighed me and then told me to do 10 days on slimfast. However, last week I was on vacation and as usual on vacation I gained about 5lbs. So, I will now be starting my preop diet heavier than at consultation. Will this have any effect on my liver? Did anyone else gain before the preop while having "one last meal"?

You should be fine. Just start your preop diet when you are suppose to. I don't think 5 lbs will be that big of a deal. good luck.

No, it won't affect your liver but do start the pre op diet on time and follow it. It really is important.
