Pre op diet headache

Day 2 1/2 of the pre op liquid diet and I have a headache from &$@$. Was anyone allowed Tylenol during pre op? I can't find anything about it in my paperwork.

It is the sugar kicking and screaming it's way out of your body. I had the headache too...and the more Water you can drink, the better. It should go away for good around day 4...I'd think you could have some tylenol until it subsides.

Yes, tylenol should be fine. just no Excedrin which contains asprin (or Advil or Aleve). Are you still able to have caffeine? I did and a very little of it with the Tylenol seemed to helped the headache. It will get easier soon! Today and tomorrow are the worst days!

It will subside. Im on day 8 of 14. Your likely dehydrated. Happened to me in addition to nausea and vomiting. Tylenol is permitted. Stay strong.

Thank you all so much!

I will definitely drink more today. It's been in the mid 90's here for the last 3 or 4 days so that probably hasn't helped.

I was a major carb junk PLUS I went bonks eating on my last few days prior to the liquid diet....probably not a good idea looking back.

I just woke up in the middle of the night and I do feel quite a bit better. It's a new day right?!? Like everyone said it will be worth it!

Thanks everyone!
