Acid Reflux during the night

Last couple of weeks I've been suffering with disgusting acid reflux during the night, it's waking me up & tastes horrible, almost like vomit. I'm scared to lie down flat at night as it seems to make it worse, anyone else had same issues??

I have acid reflux if I eat too close to when I sleep. It will wake me up almost like vomit in my mouth. It burns my lungs. I did not have this before my surgery. I just make sure that I don't eat at least two hours before I go to sleep and that prevents it from happening. It also helps keep me from late night snacking- LOL.

I had that problem....severe.....

I found not to eat anything close to going to bed...I made it a personal rule not to eat after 7pm....

In my case, no more reflux.

if you suddenly got the acid reflux you need to have a barium swallow to make sure your band is in place. if it is, than the treatment is drugs, not eating or drinking right before bed. my doctor had it 4 hours before bedtime and to sleep with a incline. but call your doctor, reflux can be affecting your esophagus.

Thanks Terry I'm sleeping at an incline at the moment to try & prevent which is not the most comfortable. I didn't eat or drink for 3 hours before going to bed last night & all was good although didn't lie flat. I will speak to my bariatric nurse & get her advice. Thanks
