I was back at the gym on the "dreadmill" 6 days post-op. My surgeon cleared me for walking immediately. That's all I did, and I went at a slow pace, about half what I was doing pre-op. I'm in the Middle East and it was just too hot to be outside...the treadmill was a good alternative for me.

Did 20min on the dreadmill today. I actually like that better than walking outside for the moment. I would like to try the elliptical...too but I'm sure I'll need clearance for that.

I got on the elliptical a week after surgery, but I was only on 5 minutes before getting off and getting dizzy. I'm able to go a full 30 minutes now.

I was told to wait 6 weeks for strenuous exercise including weights in order for the muscles in the abdominal wall to heal. I've been doing yoga which seems to be helping with the back pain.
