Plastics in 13 days!

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to update. I haven't been on here in a while. I've been trying not to get too excited so, I've avoided all PS message boards. Now that I am leaving in 10 days and having surgery in 13 I'm trying to learn as much as I can!

I decided on Dr. Sauceda, mostly because of the quality of his work, the aftercare and just genuinely feeling comfortable. Not to mention he has quite a group of supportive people!

Any suggestions about being in MX, or any other tips you guys might have is more than welcome!

I've been to MX twice for surgery. Once for plastics and once for my VSG. Both experiences were very positive. Post-plastics I didn't actually get out much to see or do anything because I was soooooooo incapacitated. Late in my two week stay, two of my nurses did take me to the beach one day just to walk along the boardwalk and that was really nice.

After my VSG, I was much more mobile and able to get out and do a little, but I was only there for 2 days post-op. The most I did was walk around in the area of my hotel and visit a corner store for some Vitamin Water.

In general though, I would say that all of the people were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable and safe the entire time. I was shocked how much it's exactly like being in the US in terms of the stores and restaurants that you see while driving around. I did try to tip well while I was there, because it was clear to me that everyone was working very hard and doing an excellent job.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
