First appointment today!

Had my first appointment today with Dr. Carlton at the Nicholson Clinic. Lived the staff and the doctor. I had even lost 4 pounds since last seeing my PCP at the end of June. Now the waiting begins to see if insurance will approve it begins. So excited

I had my first appointment on 8/11/2015. It went much better than I thought it would. I met some post-op bariatric patients who were very happy with their choices to get the surgery. One woman had already lost 240 pounts in just over a year! The other, had her surgery in May, and is already down 48 pounds.

When I asked for their advice, one told me the hardest part was the two-week fast before surgery. She said, "You're going to be so hungry, and so angry, so don't ait to start modifying your diet!"

I was also able to get all my pre-op testing done in the hospital that same day, which was a huge blessing!

Good luck on this life-changing journey. Personally, even though I know it's going to be challenging, I am so excited!
