Mine is putting my house on the market only to have it sell quickly and having to frantically find a new house. Add to that lots of days spent at the pool and trying to keep my kids entertained and my surgery has snuck up quickly.

I went completely into denial. Seriously, I convinced myself that every day leading up to surgery was just another day of the week, that nothing special was going on. I did that right up to being wheeled into the O.R. :-)
