Welcome! Good luck on your journey to surgery! My process didn't require a two week liquid diet. Only one day of clear liquids, water, broth, sugar free Popsicles and the like. But I was required to lose 10% of my weight before surgery.

When did you you start the process? I'm also required to do 6 months through insurance requirements. I see my surgeon for the first time next week

Are you having the surgery as an elective or do you have medical conditions that warrant you having the surgery

I had 6 months of weight and nutrition visits. So glad I did

I lost 22 pounds and learned alot about food habits and nutrition. 5 day liquid diet before and 2 weeks after surgury . My sergury was the 22nd and still have not had"food". Dr Apt Aug 4th hope to go right to mushy food.. all in all it seemed like a long process with lots of hoops but glad they did it that way. Good luck to all
