  1. Sorry I agree with ilove organic milk. It's very easy to eat around your sleeve you need to seek help for your disorder. The surgery is a lot to put your body and mind threw without first controlling the disorder itself
  2. I told 2 best friends 1 family member. I have lost a sister because of my "secret" keeping. We were very close and we're going to be the Baldwin "the waltons"sisters some day. It's been 14 months. Would I change my decision to tell probably not but it still hurts. When people ask how I tell them with a lot help from drs I see a nutritionist and support from family and friends.
  3. Greek girl I am 14 months out and have lost my mojo. No foods bother me, I can eat anything. I have gained 12 pounds also. Meals fill me up in the appropriate amount but I can snack for days , and never feel full. Now we all know that we're not suppose to snack but I can't find my off button. Any words of wisdom
  4. You're feeling hungry and full at the same time, that's head hunger. Your use to eating so your brain is telling you to chew. Listen to your tummy not your brain
  5. Try urgent care they could point you in the right direction

  9. Ok here's a 6 month update. I see my Dr on Jan 4th so Ill just tell you what I know. I am down to one medication, have lost 78 pounds, wear a large blouse(from 3x) size 14 16 pant (from 24) 7 1/2 shoe (from 8 1/2) size 8 under wear (from 11). Husband took me shopping and I stood in front of the mirror and cried cuz I looked so damn nice in stylish clothes. then went to Victoria secrets for a new bra and cried cuz i looked so awful in none at all. Trying to get all this extra me into a bra was heart wrenching. I read all the articals about skin etc, looked at many pictures but it was so different when it was mine. it seemed to have happened all the sudden. but at 55 there's not much opportunity for me to be naked anyhow so Ill just keep buying nice clothes. The complements come daily and at times its a little embaressing to know so many people are looking at me. I also know some day it will stop. And people who see me for the first time wont know the strugles I have faced. So I guess to some it up I am doing well, trying to learn about my new body and surprised when I bend down to pick something up and dont loose my breath. I miss my big boobs, but like the small shirts.. I am just babbaling now so I shall say good night . Ill let yall know how Dr apt goes on the 4th. sorry about the spelling....
  10. Thanx ladies I was thinking about what you said today. Your right, if no one noticed I would be very upset(no pleasing me. Lol). I was reading another post about after you've reached goal people stop noticing and you tend to get "forgetful" about your care. I'll keep plugging and no that it is a complement to my hard work that people are noticing my weight loss. Thank you
  11. I had surgery 7/22. Have lost 68 pounds, size 24/3x to. 16 L or XL Sounds great right.. Everyday at work people are telling me how great I look guys are telling me I'm pretty people look at me differently. I'm kinda of sad wondering what they thought of me at almost 300 pounds. I don't know why but I'm feeling uncomfortable with the attention I'm getting. The old me wasn't good enough for them ? I don't know am I silly? Then I worry I will let them all down and gain weight back and it'll be "see knew she couldn't do it . It's only been a few months so I know I have a lot of adjustments to make. Any advice
  12. I have hit onederland, after 29 years I am under two hundred pounds. Very happy, hubby likes to buy me clothes, furbabies can both sit in my lap, grandson can hug around me, and I like what I see when I walk by a window. It's a good day.

  15. Holly time will go really fast. Six months soundslike such a long time but while you're working the program you are learning a lot of new things. Enjoy your journey.
  16. Had my 3 month checkup today starting weight 268 weight today 203 starting pant size 22 24 pant size now 16 shirt size 3x now shirt size large the doctor said I'm doing really well with my weight loss seeing as how I don't have a lot of weight to lose slow and steady is best. I'm really never sure if I'm doing this right. I can snack till the cows come home but can't seam to enjoy a meal. I'm sure I'll figure this out.
