Insurance Question

I have decided to have the gastric sleeve done. I have Aetna HMO insurance. Has anyone else had this and got an approval? If so, how long and what was the process. Thanks in advance

I have aetna open access and my requirements where 3 months supervised visits with nut and doc don't gain any weight you can lose though BMI of 40 and or 2 comorbidities like diabetes and I got approved quick just be certain which date you want because they approve the day specified by your doctor's office. I had my procedure on the 9th and I feel great. There were some out of pocket expenses of course like my pre op class and meds oh and hospitals copay.

I just called and they told me that my plan does not cover it. I am with Aetna select. I would have to wait until January and switch plans ????
