Odd question

Hi I'm 2 weeks post op now and my daughter has a horrible gastro bug which is going around here at the moment. I usually catch these bugs and will vomit for about 12 hrs every 20 min or so. My question is ...if I do catch a gastro bug now or in the future, will the vomiting cause damage to my band?

yes it could. vomiting is the worse thing a person can do. if you get sick again or perhaps your doctor will give you medication for nausea. I had the flu a few months back but my band was deflated for another reason. I still used nausea medication, Carafate and tums to try and stop the vomiting. we will all get sick with different things and if your band is filled than you might have to go in and have a unfill until you feel better. a slipped band isn't a picnic.
