Sunburnt

I am 3 1/2 weeks post-op and I went to a festival today. Thanks to my having just moved and forgetting to pick up sunscreen, I ended up with a pretty bad sunburn. I don't remember my surgeon saying anything about staying out of the sun. I can only imagine that I'll probably end up with a fever at some point due to this. Anyone else have any experience with getting a sunburn early post-op? I'm going to try to spend the rest of the afternoon getting my fluids in, since I know I'm dehydrated.
