My date has been set for July 10th. This will be a birthday present to myself. A new start to my new life. My follow up is also scheduled the day before my birthday. I am very excited because this is something I want it for the past 3 years. Any advice and suggestions for this process is always welcome!

The 6 months HSS gotten to me too. Started April 1st. Long process

Yes! This waiting for 6 months is a test of my patience but I'm trusting that God knows I need the long process. I'm with Dr. Macik at Northside Bariatrics, I've gone through the psych evaluation and nutritionist so I'm just going through the 2 more weigh ins. Please keep me updated on your process. I look forward to this new leash on life :-)

I have an appointment for my first consult with Dr. Macik this coming Thursday. Is the six months an insurance requirement, or is six months if you self-pay too?

Well I'm with Humana and I did not require a wait time. But I truly believe it depends on everybody circumstances and their BMI as well as insurance.

But I did have to get all my approvals.
