It hurt sometimes but I can eat anything. I was work at losting until last week and did lost 30 pounds but I can't do it on my on. That is why I did the lap band. Should I feel full? Does it take alot of fills? What is normal?

You haven't been banded that long. Give it time. Join us in the over 50 thread. Some people have a harder time losing in their 50's than some of the younger people.

Are you exercising?

Do a search on the top. I think it's called how is weight loss for people over 50. I wish I knew how to do a link but I am very computer iliterate.

I dont have much experience with fills and how effective they are, I just wanted to say maybe you could call your Dr's nurse and express your frustration to her. Ask her if its normal because of your large band size?

Good luck!

I was banded June 7th and now I'm eating anything I want and always feel hungry. When I went to my surgeon he said to start on mushies. I'm on solids. I lost 20lbs. I don't know whats going on. Does anyone have any advise. My next appt is in 2 wks.:help:

That's pretty normal for someone that's newly banded. Try to stick with mainly protein and you won't be as hungry. Try to stay away from carbs. Digesting carbs causes hunger. You won't be as hungry when you get a good fill.
