Surgery date set for may 26th!

After a year of exploring this option, I'm finally scheduled to be sleeved in 2 weeks!!

I'm a little nervous about the surgery itself as far as being put to sleep and the hospital stay but I'm more excited than anything to start seeing results .

My highest weight was 256. Found out I am diabetic and was placed on some meds. I'm currently down to 249. I start my pre op diet on the 18th and really interested in seeing how much weight I lose that week.

I'm an African American woman and curious about hair loss and loose skin as I know this is different for all of us?

Also , I'm very interested in maybe finding a buddy who's having surgery the same day??

Thanks :-)

Hi,

I hope everything went well for you. I haven't revised from the band to sleeve yet. However, I have found that if you type in 'African American' you will find some posts regarding hair loss issues for African Americans.
