I'm new to this, My insurance is covering everything but my Dr wants me to do an ultrasound of abdomen, EGD, Sleep study which I do the end of this month. Any tips on the process would be greatly appreciated?? Also I'm super nervous about the pre-op liquid diet he is having me do and the month following the surgery. How long did you have to stay off of work after the surgery?

mshenry11: I am so happy to hear that your Dr. wants an ultrasound of your abdomen, sleep study and EGD. The more information they have regarding your health before surgery will only make the

procedure safer for you. I was out for 2 1/2 months but only because of problems. My friends who

have had the sleeve were back at work in two weeks. Good luck to you...
