Had surgery April 23

So I had surgery in Mexico and everything went really well. My sister went with me and had surgery too and she wasn't so tolerant but it appears not to be abnormal. I am able to drink lots of Water and can eat a whole can of Soup and mushy veggies. I'm only ingesting about 600-800 calories a day. The surgery in Mexico has left us with so many questions as nobody spoke English and gave us no direction after surgery so this has helped.

Unfortunately I really screwed up this weekend. I had a bachlorette party to go to and I started drinking sf red bull and vodka. Today my stomach is so much more swollen and it feels like I just had surgery today. I'm back on broths mushy veggies today. I'm such an idiot and so scared I messed something up!!

Sorry to hear that! I think we lap banders are suppose to stay away from carbonation (Red Bull) and that could've made you feel icky. Going back to Soups and liquids is a good idea! I had a lot of questions as well and found a few websites that have post care instructions like this one: http://www.murfreesborosurgical.com/weight-loss-surgery/post-op-guidelines/dietary-guidelines-lap-band/

It really helped guide me in what to eat and when and how much

Hope this helps you out more!
