NZer 4th Week Out

Hi, My names Sarah and I had my sleeve surgery on April 5th. It was a realy quick surgery, only half an hour! Seems sticking to my pre op diet paid off.

Worst part to be honest, was the gas trapped under my rib cage. First few days were awful, would go for my walks around the ward and still feel awful but in the long run it could have been much worse. Was discharged after 2 nights and took the full two weeks from work to recover.

Started on mushed foods this week with mixed results, having issues with heartburn and knowing when I'm full, couple of vomiting moments already. So far I've lost 15kg including my pre op diet drop, which I'm pleased about. Im pretty happy with my decision to go for surgery.

Congratulations on your new journey. I don't know how to explain the full feeling. I was sleeved on April 27 still on liquid diet but when I'm full I just stop. Even if I wanted to i can't continue.
