Hello everyone! My name is Sara! I'm super excited to have found this awesome forum! I'm 4 weeks into my gastric sleeve, down 14 pounds! Not sure if that's a good thing or normal I have been reading through some threads and I have found a lot of answers to some of my questions. I do have a question.....I cant seem to quench my thirst Is this normal and will it go away? Also, my arms have this weird rash that totally drives me crazy cause it itches same for my lower back.

I can't help you with the rash, but I think the thirst could be a couple of things. First of all, are you getting all your water in? I know it can be really hard immediately post-op, just because it's tough to physically drink much at one time. Also, if you are 4 weeks out, you might be on solid foods now, which means no drinking for long periods of time before and after eating, which could definitely make you thirsty. Another potential culprit is acid. Are you on a PPI?

I would check with the doctor about the rash. You may be allergic to something you are using.

Proton pump inhibitors....ie Prilosec, nexium, protonix....something for acid

Why is it you loose 3 pounds then your period comes and you gain them back very discouraged
